Are you driving the car or just giving it gas in the driveway. The latter will not produce boost.

What rpm are you getting up to? Is your belt tight? Are you sure your not leaking boost anywhere? Did you forget to take the plastic bag off the air filter ( I did this one what an idiot)?

I hope your not running the car to 6k without it being tuned. That wouldn't be too bright. What vac source is the boost gauge using now?

pass side by the computer? what the little 3/16 or whatever size line it is coming off the back of the intake for the ac controls? if so, did you splice infront of the inline check valve or behind? behind wont yeild boost due to the checkvalve.

Tap into the vac hose going to the brake master cylinder...That's the easiest place to do it...Also is the bov staying open???

There is your problem right there. You need to move your splice spot to before that checkvalve. Otherwise, the gauge won't be able to reference boost, hence why you aren't seeing any.

Is there really any need for a boost gauge? just curious?

he's talking about the HVAC check valve. if the valve is bad or missing your heater blend doors will move(floor to defrost) as vacuum changes
