Default is this turbo a pos...or...

im doing a "budget build" for my supra. the car is currently n/a. im wondering if this turbohas been used by anyone on the board. i know the turbo is a bit big for what i need at this point, but the motor is bing rebuild as soon as my trans lets go(withing the year) and i dont want to have to buy 2 turbos if i dont have to. should i give this turbo a try and see what happens for $300?

Most anything from SSautochrome is a knock off or junk. I baught some "100% stainless" V-band clamps from them and when they came they were chromed steel....junk.

Its really an "XS" brand, the bastards do their trick advertising making you think its a master power one.

But size wise...I have the GT45 on my 5.3L and its like the perfect size.

What a bunch of rip off artists. All the pictures they show are Master Power boxes, Master Power turbos, etc... Then the little note on the bottom says " all turbos will be XS brand." Stay away from these ********.

i felt the same way. didnt have a whole lot of money and was looking for a cheep way out. The guys on here warned me. You get what you pay for. Save your money and get something decent from a company known to sell decent products. you are at the right place to ask questions and get good honist answers. I know i have. it can be dissapointing not being able to save money by buying somthing cheeper but in the long run you will be happy. Use the force Luke.lol

Everyone here is happy to help, even if you are missing two cylinders(Supra).

You get what you pay for. If your looking for a cheap big turbo then the TC series is probably your best bet.
