Default who has actually maxed out a p1sc procharger

so who has really done it. who has spun the blower to its limit. id like to see what hp/tq level the ls1 was at and what mods it took to completely max out the p1.

so far i've seen a blown, sprayed, & stroked ls1 that doesnt seem to have maxed one out yet. Ed Blown Vert i believe.

this thread is about the p1sc and for the people who have this blower. dont reply with info on the d1sc.

Most I have seen from a P1 on a GTO was about 640rwhp on a stock bottom end LS2. He also sprays, but the 640rwhp is without the spray!

nah. Not asking for my car. Just asking in general. All i ever read is people posting telling someone "you will max out the p1sc so you better get the d1sc". I'm not saying the d1sc is good or bad id just like to see some proof to exactly how much the p1sc can take.

Approacing it's max RPM (no more pulleying options left that wouldn't over spin it), my buddy made 633RWHP with a g5x3 114, QTPs, and an EWP.... and was otherwise (except for fueling) stock with an M6.

The A&A corvette P1SC setups made very good power, they have a nice straight inlet, no belt slip and a decent sized FMIC with nice smooth piping so thats where you see the big LS1 P1SC numbers.

Well my little P1 is maxed out. I don't know how some could get to 600 rwhp, but I couldn't. A D1 is still in my future.

Could you explain when/how the blower taps out for you. What rpm does it happen? How much boost are you running at the time? Explain for everyone what exactly happens when it taps out. Does it show a drop off on the boost gauge? Reach certain rpm and is just flat from then on?

We just maxed out a P1SC the other day. We put down 696 RWHP. I can go down one more size on the pulley but I feel that is enuff. A D1SC is needed. 02 Z06

I am running 10# of boost. The boost never falls off. But I am spinning my P1 to 62000. Max impeller speed is 65000.

But only make just over 500 rwhp

347-wiseco pistons-stock rods-stock crank, 6.0L PP stage 2 heads, cammotion blower cam, FLP LT's, Borla, Alky Control Kit, P1SC(~57K rpms) 6-rib setup 10psi made 620rwhp/560rwtq on my setup. This was on pump gas spraying the alky.

My set-up is similar to yours and I should be getting it tuned tomorrow for the 3 extra psi and Meth. I should only be spinning the blower to around 64K or so with the pulley set-up I have. I am hoping for some numbers that look like that. I made 546/514 with just 7 psi and no meth. I will let you all know what it makes.

It's all compression. Most people don't run enough compression, then add a Cam that bleeds off which lowers the DCR more To give you an idea,I ran 14lbs on my stock C5 Vette and now with 16k more miles it still runs top notch --even with the KR sensors disconnected when I did the blower

Hmm...my CR is 9:1 which I think is what most run here.

But if that is the case, I just need more blower.
