powerdyne 383 stroker
i spun a rod bearing in my 93z so i dropped the motor for the bottom so i can rebuild it. my buddy has speed pro 383 pistons and eagle rods out of his 383 stroker but hes going a diff route. they were installed and never fired. the pistons and rods are all the same between the gen 1 and gen 2 blocks right? so if i got those i would have to get the right crank and it would work? i plan on running a stock cam with 1.6 rr's and ported stock heads. does that sound good? what would be a good tune to go with? i was going to get lt1 edit but i see they dont make it for 93s. i have the 4.5psi kit but ill most likely upgrade to the 6psi. thanks

thats gonna be too much motor for a powerdyne unit.
I think they are only good to like 420 rwhp or maybe a lil more due to flow, so if I were you I would try getting a different FI system.

Well, he's already stuck with it currently so he has to go from here...
Man, you might as well just make a nice 355ci small block and get 7 psi going through it. (reuse your stock crank.) If you're ok with 450 rwhp for the next couple of years then it's ok.
The pistons are the same. However, if you're making a 355 those rods will have to swapped. (different stroke vs 383)
I'd just buy a set of pistons/rods from Summit mail order and go from there. They aren't expensive and you have a warranty. ~Joshua
