Magnacharged F-body - new track results
We were able to make it back to Muncie Dragway for probably the last time this year. Weather was great all day, sunny and low 50's, and when the sun went down it got nice and cool. We picked up our ET a little over 4 tenths, to get in the high 11's which is right where this kit should be.
Here's a breakdown of the run:
R/T .624
60' 1.792
330 5.047
1/8 7.726
MPH 91.66
1000 10.036
1/4 11.970
MPH 116.45
I think there's definately a few more tenths there, we made all of these gains just by playing with shift points. Remember, this is at 5 PSI, the production kits will make 7PSI, and should be capable of much better times.
Let me know if I can answer any questions,
Ed

You're trucking on down the track now Ed!
Great times for a "stock type" car.
Heck, you're leaving 3 tenths on the table with that tight converter.
I bet the IC version with more boost and a looser converter will go 10's.
Congrats!

Hi Nineball,
Sorry I didn't ax my signature in my post. Thank you for doing that for me.

Been following the track progress in this and other thread.
Had a few questions.. what altitude is the track at.Also while the mph seemed a bit low it is an auto car not a six speed. I was going to say we have a cam/headers bolt on six speed that runs 12.3 at 114 range with 1.9 or 1.8 60fts but our track is 1700 feet above sea level. We have a head/cam/headers car that dynoed at 430 or so only
gettin 11.9 at 117 with also 1.9 or so 60fts. Its six speed also.
So the mph seems not too bad I think for an auto car. Also what size injectors are you running maybe you are leaning out too much up top..fuel pump is it stock?
And what for tuning..tuning can make a big difference to any forced induction car..
And of course intercooler or meth injection can give more power and more consistent power in hotter weather.
I am sure your setup should be plenty fast at 7psi and intercooled or with meth injection and tuned up maybe a bit better.
Nice to see another forced induction option for the f body cars. Maybe you can make one for my lt1 sooner or later..

Thanks for all the kind words guys, it was a lot of fun!
The blower kits would still feel very fast on cars in altitude, but they would make less power than they do here. That's what makes these kits so desirable, it's a quick, easy way to "bolt on" 100 RWHP without building a whole car!

Exactly! this is a "close the hood, and forget about it" type of mod. The OEM reliability, and fuel economy doesn't hurt either!

Whats "in" the 112 blower as far as boost goes? I know some of the larger twin screw units can push 20psi, but what seems to be the limit for this blower?
I know you arent building this thing to be the ultimate 1/4 mile car Ed, but Im curious (im sure Im not the only one lol).
Keep up the great work man, Ed.
