Its just going to be a low Comp N/A Motor..... be sure to get it tuned though... so ya dont hurt it or wash the rings...

The concept would work, but it will involve a lot of double work on the intake and exhaust. IMO, the only way to get used to a high horsepower car is to drive it. As long as the link between your brain and right foot still works you should be ok.

I think it's a great idea. It gives you time to work out the bugs in the engine an N/A tune on a computer designed to read boost. If you plan on driving it on the street at all, you will spend more time N/A than under boost anyway.

You could always turbo it and keep the boost down as low as it will go, run them off the wastegates. That way your learning to drive a mildly fast car and progressively bumo the boost up over a few months. Thats what I intend to do when I finish my car. Start with low-mild boost maybe 700ish rwhp and work up from there. My car was making 600rwhp and that was no problem to get used to. Just be smart and safe and I don't see there being any problem with doing it this way!

Did that last year. Built the shortblock for boost. Used all my old parts - heads, cam, intake, headers, etc. Ran it a couple of months/races. and than over the last winter did the complete turbo upgrade. Worked just fine - besides it gave the new engine a little "break in" period before I started to pound on it a little.

I say build the turbo set up and if you cant handle it de-tune it . the power is right at your **** the boost controller. then when you get some seat time turn the boost up and roll!!!!!!!!!!
