Default where do i put the maf sensor?

at the risk of sounding like an idot, where do i put the maf? do i put it between the turbo and engine or before the turbo. my turbo saab (please dont make fun of me for previously owning saab) had it before the turbo but the turbo im using has a 4 inch inlet so it would be a little tricky getting it in. most set ups iv seen put it between the turbo and engine but i havent seen any setups on a v8, besides in pictures and on my friend mustang which is carburated.

im almost 100% sure it should go between the turbo and engine on these engines but i want to make sure before i start buying the tubing and couplers.

Ive seen it both ways, but more commonly between the turbo and motor. Its really all about if you have space or not before or after.
