Default 6L manifold kit with twin T61s good idea?

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone has built a twin setup with two T61s? Those turbos are cheap and you could mount them in the front corners of the car and still keep stock fans etc.

Has anyone does this? I think it'd work pretty well. You could even do oval 2.5 sections under the Kmember and keep the AC if you wanted.

Similar to this setup...

Thoughts?

i dont see why you couldnt, just depends how much power you want to make with the two T61's
also things to consider is the oil drain return.

Hmm, kind of rwhp are you looking for? Also, good point... I think that setup would require some sort of oil return pump.

Looking at the compressor map for the T61 and consumption chart for a 346 I think you could make ~800RWHP at 2 bar with twin 61s at 6800rpm on a stock cubed motor.

You'd need a scavenge pump but that is no big deal (I wonder if you could Y the two turbo drain back lines to a single pump?

61s are so cheap and plentiful though For a street car wouldnt twin 61s, 1.8-2.0 bar be quick spooling and make great power? If it were a track car off a Tbrake I'd definitely go bigger

This would be for a six speed street car on a drag radial.

Are the S-91's the same size as the S-88's? What is the HP rated on the S-91's?

Yes same size, and right now the rating is TBA, but I suspect from the flow #'s I see on the e-mails being passed around "shhhhhh " It should top the S88, by more then another 100hp.

I was planning on twin t61's. Last minute changed to t66's but, I plan on more cubes later. I have a totally different idea of turbo placment though. INTDM8 running 61's I believe.
