launching a turbo automatic
hey guys are there any tricks to launching an automatic turbo vehicle @ the track-
im going back the track tomoro to see if i can hit an 8.6 @ 80 mph in the 1/8th on 8psi (4.3L, 4l60e, blazer check sig)
my best time so far is an 8.81 @ 77mph with a 1.93 60ft. thats with a 200lbs passenger-
i stall the truck up and let it build 8psi and on the third yellow light i dont release the brake i just mash the go pedal as soon as it hits the floor i let off the brake.
is there anther way- im on a fmu is part of my problem but when i try easing out of it i comes out of boost and bogs...
any help would be appreciated

its a 2wd- this is on an open diff- next mods are traction mods for when i up the boost
if i put it in first and just put the e-brake on and floor it- what will it do? bring the rpms up way high or just like 2500?

Being 2wd and open diff, a launch will be pretty hard unless you have decent rubber on the back. Just foot braking it should work the best since you dont want to over power the tires and spin.
