Default over heating procharged 408... my solution.. hope it works

heres my plan of attack... i just ordered a radiator from summit p# GRI-55241-x 27.5 wide 15.5 high and 3'' thick...

along with a 9'' spal fan from bob @ www.exoticperformanceplus.com

the radiator will stand str8 up after some cutting and welding inside the engine compartment.

im going to reuse the "stock" ATI fan that came with my ATI kit and the shroud...

cut out a 9'' hole and mount the fan and the top of the driver side of the RAD... both of these fans will be hard wired into my toggle switches...

im hoping to keep my temps under 190 while street driving... thats why the new radiator....

hopefully in 2 weeks ill have my stuff back up and running.

You should be fine. The BeCool radiator I just got installed on my car cured all my overheating issues.

Get ride of the ATI fan. Go back to the stock GM twin fans. Problem solved.

Why run fans with a toggle when your stock management system does SUCH a good job running 2 at whatever temps/speeds you'd like?

? You can just set them to run (even with the car off) with VCM controls.... You can set them to automatically run when the car is off until a preset temp is reached as well... It just seems like you are doing more work only to have to do even more down the road.

Also not to mention the weight that you will be adding with that radiator and fluids......

Not a big penalty to pay if it keeps your car cool. I do not know if you ever had a car that overheats, but I tell you it is not fun.

i still like having the fans on toggle so i can turn them on off whenever i like... and the added weight im not too woried about as long as i can drive the car in the middle of the summer and stick my foot in and out of it as i like and the temps not go crazy...
