Lightbulb How much boost?

I have a 382 stroker ls1 with 21.4 mahle boost pistons in it. I know nothing about low compression motors i believe its 9.7.1? The wrong motor was shipped to me and he refuses to take the motor back so i'm stuck with it. supercharger, turbo cheap? looking for 500rwhp? please throw out any ideas or thoughts

Wow that sucks to hear, was it a sponsor that sold you this engine?

382, plus a mild D1-SC procharger set up will net you an easy 500rwhp. Turbo will be more expensive no matter how you slice it. If you are stuck on FI, get a procharger.

Or a big shot of N2O, that'll do the trick for a decent outlay of cash.

it was acually ls1 performance in arizona, I'm not a person to put in a bad name but i really got screwed not even a build list. but thanx for the imput

We have seen great results with the patriot stage 2/3 heads.

9.7/1 isn't bad for use with a centrifical supercharger. I'd use an ATI ProCharger F1 or F1A. You can easily shoot for 750 to 800+ rwhp on 93 octane (possibly with a can of octane booster) with a good tune. Bob
