Got a Street/Strip Single Turbo LT1?

Got a Street/Strip Single Turbo LT1?
I just ordered a T76 from Jose at Forced Inductions and I'll be starting the installation/fabrication once it arrives. I've heard that some guys just use the stock manifolds, reversed left/right orientation, as manifolds. My hope is to either put the battery in the spare tire area and utilize that area or remove the ABS apparatus and put the single in that region under the hood. If you have an installation in your LT1, could you report what you've done and encountered? Thanks!

I haven't heard of LT1 guys doing manifolds backwards, only LS1 cars. Now, you can take two sets of SLP LT1 headers, and use two passenger side headers (one mounted backwards on the drivers side) and route a few tubes, etc. and keep it all over the K member pretty nice. I have pics of this somewhere....hmmm....(this is Jordan Musser's old car)...nevermind, I deleted all those pics. Sorry. Maybe someone else has them?
EDIT: Ahoy! I found them on-line. http://www.fastblackcar.com/camaro/turbomotor/ He had a T76 kit first (like I described) and a totally custom header T88 kit...you'll see em.

yes with a little mods. you can take just one set of slp headers and make them work. i cut of part of the collecters and make new ones and a y-pipe.i also put a k-frame in the car, and a custom rad. too. but you dont have too, its just easier. really a lot of shorty still headers can work, and you can run a 4in down pipe back through by the stearing shaft.....a buddy of mine did a twin and moved the alt and ps down low and made his own headers from scratch. both these set-ups make more power then any kit you can buy.

i saw the pics his set-up with the 88 is alittle like mine, but the first question you have to ask your self is.... do you even need abs...or air conditioning...or a swaybar.... you really dont for performance and it makes you project easier.

jordon musser built mine and the t76gts sits where the abs and fuse box used to be. i'd love to tell you how well it works, but i'm still trying to finish the job i paid him to do. i have run an 8.04 @ 92 in the 1/8 w/ a 2.06 60' on 7.5 lbs of boost on pump gas before i decided to fix the "little things". should be done soon w/ slicks and a 2-step, but most tracks are closing for the year. guess it's time for a trip to San Antonio again.
i've got a couple of pics on cardomain, but they aren't that great. should have a few more when everything is to my liking.
