Blower Cars, what stall speed you running?
Since I have my Vig 3200 converter out of the car. I was thinking about restalling it to a 3600.
Not high enough? Or should I just keep it where its at, given my power level.

Converter business is pretty tricky. Sometimes you get it right, other times you get it wrong. I am finally happy with my Yank PY3400. Your best bet is to find someone with the converter you are looking at and go from there. Or if you are happy with your current converter keep it.

i run the same converter, pro yank 3400. I used to have a 3800 that was way too much. wish the 3400 could flash to 3600 but i'm very happy with this converter it hits harder, holds the flash, doesnt slip and drives like stock until you hit it.
its good for 1000 hp too, now i gotta make more power.

I'm almost 99% sure i'm going with a PY3600. It has a lower STR so it doesn't hit the tires as hard. A guy over at the CF forum just ran 9.70@141 mph with this converter with a forged 346 and ECS Paxton kit which makes around 740 rwhp. I remember when I got my first stall for my 98 camaro. I got the 3200 vig-it hit the tire so hard that I wouldn't 60 ft at all-then I swapped to a Yank and the hit was much softer plus I gained about 2 mph on the big end.

run the bigger str and get a stickier tire. 1/4 mi is all about the first 60 ft and 1/8 mi.
when you start making those crazy hp numbers it really comes down to suspension.
man i'd keep your car a stick and have fun banging those gears.

I don't have any issues with traction running this converter and ET Drags, that why I was thinking of upping the stall some to get into boost sooner. I just don't want to blow through it.
Maybe I should wait and get a D1 installed first.

Fly to Texas and drive my car with the PY3400. Then at the end of the year you can claim it as "research and development costs."

Ed see if they can loosen up the pro yank 3400 to a 3800 while keeping the 2.5 str.
with your spray and boost this should be the right converter for you man.
with et drags you should be able to yank em up with this converter. IT GRABS.

Ed get the D1 first bro-the D1 over the P1 is a real kick in the pants-I couldn't BELIEVE the difference when i swapped this summer.

I think the PY3600 will let you either use eT streets or ET Radials-imagine drive to the track 100 miles on ET Radials-air them out and run 9's-then pump them up and drive home.

Put it this way Ed-when I went from the P1 to the D1 I went from a 4" to 4.10 pulley-so I went up in pulley size. I picked up 52 ft/lbs or torque-and get this-I dropped my timing by 1 degree and add losts of fuel-my AFR was 10.1 and I still gained 52ft/lbs-the difference is sick!

If the price is right I am ready to buy.
