Default Procharger D-1SC is here!

:woot: :woo:

Can I installed both of them.

As you can see in the 3rd pic, the D1 is pretty scratched up. If the case is the same, can I swap it with the non-scratched casing?

I would not recommend you do that because machining operations could have changed subtlely between superchargers and the case halves may not match up properly and assembling them together could result in catostrophic damage. If you take off the hosed serial tag be sure to keep it in case you need service. ATI will not service a supercharger with the serial number removed or tag missing because they feel it may be a customer's stolen blower.

This is also a tip. If God forbid somebody's blower is stolen call ATI with the serial number and report it. If that unit ever comes in for service there's a better than average chance you'll get it back.

To play it safe I would spend the extra few bucks, and send it back to ATI for them to open it up, inspect and reseal it. Well worth the piece of mind for a used unit.

I sold a ATI ProCharger Honda kit several years ago to a guy who used a stolen credit card. many people do not know this, but the merchant is left without anything when this happens. The credit card company is in the clear. I called ATI ProCharger and gave them the serial number in case anybody ever called in with the number. Sure enough, about a year later someone did, and ATI gave me a call. I have to go to court in Virginia to get it back, but it was worth it. Bob

I sold this ProCharger new to the previous customer. It is fairly new, and I can't imagine that anything is wrong with it. Bob

I don't understand that with the CC companies-they make more than enough money-they should absorb the loss! I see this all the time with my wifes business-every once in awhile she gets a chargeback on her account for a CC purchase and she's out both the product and the money.

Thanks Bob!

It was shipped with the fins down with not much padding left between them and the ground. Should I still send it in? And If I do, will I have a problem since I was not the orginally owner on file?

You wouldn't have a problem for that at all. ProChargers have a habit of changing hands quite often when people upgrade or change thier combination.

Can you even see the CARB# on the car? Just write it down off the P1 and give it to the inspector - cant imagine them knowing the difference between a P1 abd D1

True, I just don't know how the shipper handled the package. All the see is someone throwing the box on the truck landing very hard on the fins.

Actually you can see the number. But you're correct most inspectors won't know the different.

Awesome Ed, when's the motor going to be ready to go back in??? With this combo you'll be REALLY close to a 7.0 in the 8th... Well that's on that crappy track too...

Hopefully in a few weeks. It all depends how soon he can get the parts.

7.0? I should have been in the 6's with the last combo. Damn slippery track.
