LS1 02' Camaro SS STS only <4k?!?!
Is this the real deal? I went to STS's website and found their single turbo kit for the LS1 Camaro.
First off....Im having trouble finding threads about people results and concerns with this turbo setup..
Second..is this turbo system going to be ok at 4-5 psi on stock block? If not, what are some common modifications I should consider? STS claims everything is included with the kit...
Thanks a bunch. I really look forward to hearing what you guys have to say about this kit...

I think you would find more results looking in the forced induction section. But I believe the consensis is good. 4-5 psi on the stock block should be find given a proper tune. I personally dont have it but hopefully someone that has it will.

Im assuming tires..I wouldnt launch it much either..I want it to run well on the highway

dont waist 5 grand if your only gonna run 4 to 5 pounds, go heads and cam get the same numbers and save 3,000 bucks. it would be fine on 5 pounds also. going over that will cost more money- intercooler, meth kit, fuel upgrade

I'm really thinking about buyin a cheaper Z28, I have about $6k to work with..
Either Turbo Z28 or H/C SS.
Which one would you choose and why?
I want to keep up with most other modded LS motors and Cobra's. I have $6k which includes installation..
STS tt kit = $3,800. Without install or other small required mods and clutch..

Jeez. I really cant take it anymore..
I really am looking forward to owning a "turbo camaro."
Id really like to own a turbo SS. I currently own a turbo car but its only a 4banger.
Can a stock block Z28/SS handle 4-5psi? All I think i'll need is a clutch and spare money for install for clutch/turbokit.

Hey man, I have heard that you can run 8 p.s.i safe on the motor if you have a FMIC or Meth kit and A GOOD TUNE!! I just bought a sts kit and im gonna run 8 p.s.i. They also make good numbers if your willing to put up the extra money for a upgraded turbo, injectors, FMIC or Meth kit, and fuel pump. But, what you probably need to invest in first is a moser 9" or 12 bolt rear end. I went with a moser 9" and a spec 3+ clutch. I need to get alittle bit more money up to get the turbo put in but, it will be soon!!!! Maybe this will help you out alittle.

yeah if you read 99% of the threads in forced induction you pretty much get the concensous of one thing
Limited budget>forced induction= Not gona happen
Theres a good sticky on the real price of forced induction, at the top of the forum, it gives you a real good idea of the cost

Pics?
And yeah forced induction will cost you an arm and a leg. I'm going through it now too. Get a nasty heads and cam kit in there. Maybe a small hit of spray. Should be plenty fast enough. Good luck.
