Default self contained supercharger

Why can't I block off the drain and fill the supercharger with oil and leave it at that and change it when needed? I guess if i wanted that I should have bought a procharger.

Don't try it. ATI ProCharger uses the dipstick as a breather, plus they have it designed to get oil up to the critical parts. Bob

Well i'm worried that I won't get enough oil and run dry and I don't really want to drill and tap a hole in my oil pan for a drain

I think the Novi has an oil squirter that's like the Vortechs, right? If so, it has been designed for lube to be squirted into the gear teeth as they mesh. Your idea would not have any way to circulate or even splash the oil.

The dipstick is also a breather, so it is possible to get a slight amount of oil coming from the dipstick area. The clear gasket that is on the dipstick tube should occasionally be replaced, and a new one is taped on the top of the ATI ProCharger boxes of oil that I sell. Bob
