Default intercooler position?

will placing the intercooler directly in front of the radiator cause any cooling issues? Or is it best to leave it further in front with a nice size air gap?

when i had it there on my tti street kit it didnt hurt so much the cooling of the car (ran just a little bit hotter) but the intercooling sucked, IAT temps were really high, id suggest not puttin gthat there.

I'd mount it as far up front as possible, use the air gaps to mount your fans. Keep the air dam, too. Keeping your AC?

no got rid of the a/c along time ago. yes.. i think i'll just cut the core support and move the rad alittle forward, to make more room for the turbo, and mount the I.C. at right behind the bumper cover.

easier said than done. It was easy for me though just tilted the radiator up and made three new holes where the upper rad support went into the support. And I mounted the intercooler up against the foglight holes in the bumper to prevent it from caving in.
