Default HELP! Did I mess up? power adder vs. NA

Now the reality that if i would have went LQ9 based stroker 408, i comparable power could have been obtained.. Instead i go and decide
that an S80 atop a 403 LS2 was the route for me... And i still cant drive
the vehicle yet. What can I expect? Will the above mentioned 408 combo
come around someday and walk my ***?? I dont plan to hit anytihng higher
than 18psi on my build, and expect viper killer power levels-but could have
had that in a iron based build. The difference of 90lbs. was the tear down
in my descision, and the legend of the new LS2 block that won me over.
Did i make a mistake????

I'd rather stay with the air over the nitrous...lol. No offense to N20 people, but its expensive enough going Turbo. And no refilling bottles to worry about...

i think if you are going through all the trouble to puta turbo in the car, it better put out some power and be able to be turned up and maxed out, and it better make a good bit more power then what you could have had with a progressive juice set up.
If not it wasn't worth it.......all the extra weight and pluming, also the mess under the hood. if i were you i would put a bigger turbo in it and shot for 1300hp, it a good # and be make to work good on the street.

Did I read that right? 18psi on an ls2 and you are worried about the 408 with the juice? I read somewhere that (at sea level) 1psi is about equal to 30ish motor hp. So if my calculation is correct... thats like a bazzillion and one. Or just 540. Roll race'em and drag their azz. Hell, that is what I love about boost. Stay just out of your powerband then floor it and FLY past em'. Makes em think they had a chance.

An S80 at 18psi on top a 403 will kill a 408 on spray, unless its running 300 shot or more. Your looking at 800rwhp at least with the S80 at that level, and a 408 that is healthy will pump out 500rwhp. He'll need at least a 300shot and will need to make sure the bottle pressure and tuning is spot on to make that power. Don't think these S series units are small T4 stuff. The S-series turbos have been proven time and time again to make stupid power.
