Default STS oil pump resistor failed!!!!

Tonight my oil pump resistor failed (F*CK, F*CK, F*CK). So, what exactly does it do? Is it really needed or can I just bypass it?

I have also been having issues lately with the alarm going off at high RPM, so I guess I need to upgrade the POS pump provided with their kit.

The only thing that has to do with the kit that will make it "not boost", is an issue with the turbo or wastegate. More than likely, it is an issue with the install!!
Please dont be so quick to blame the kit when the installer is more than likely at fault.

Killrvet, bypassing the resistor will make the pump run on high all the time, which is not that big of a deal. I'm sure Dave will send you out a new resistor.
