Default when is it time to go air to water

im working on my turbo set up. im lookin at 1k rwhp. when is it time to go air to water. my car will be 80% track and 20% street. how streetable is a water to air with a heat exchanger in the loop?

1k rwhp, it's time. The Turbotech race kit has a nice heat exchanger with a fan built on it that would probably do the job just fine.

IMO, a2w is better on the street and track.

If it's 80% race car and you don't mind draining and filling up the tank with ice, then go for it.

yeah thats what i thought im gonna go for it. im gonna make the intercooler my self at school.

W2A's can be very streetable if you use a large enough resevoir, heat exchanger, and water pump(s)! don't skimp out on that stuff and you'll do OK.
