Default Rear mount parts list.... Update Pg 2. It's finished!

For the past month I've been researching and collecting parts for a remote mount turbo system that I'm putting together on my C5. I already have an 02+ LS6 cam, Comp 918's, RPM Trans, 3600 Stall convertor, Line Lock, and MT ET streets. I removed the N20 kit, LG Headers and X3 Cam that I ran last year.

Here's my parts list, am I missing anything important?

Exhaust/Turbo:
Z06 manifolds
2.5" (x2) to 3" 304ss merge collector
3" 304ss exhaust pipe
Heat Wrap, Exhaust hangers, gaskets, flanges, etc..
PT76GTS
Tial 44 WG .6 bar spring

Oil feed/Return:
Billet Filter housing adapter plate (I'll make this on the Bridgeport)
-4 SS feed line
Check Valve
-10 SS line (turbo to pump)
REV GP-301 Oil return pump
-8 (Pump to oil pan)
Various fittings

Intercooler/Charge pipe:
3" Aluminum Charge pipe (Various bends and straight sections)
Tial 50mm BOV
Top/Bottom Intercooler (27x12x4)
Silicon and T-bolt Clamps
Lower/Re-angle Radiator mod

Intake: (2 options)
Option 1: 4" Filter on turbo
Option 2: Two 3"x7" filters behind the tail lights
Aluminum pipe from filters to turbo Twin 3" to 4" Merge Collector

Fuel System/Controls:
Twin intake pumps
-8 feed line
Billet Rails
Aeromotive 1:1 FPR
Various Fittings
Motron 60# injectors
2 Bar Map sensor
HP Tuners 2 bar SD tune
Manual boost controller

A forged lower end with a nice set of Heads, Intake manifold and a bigger Cam will come after my wallet recovers from the turbo system build.

I didn't include any gauges on the list, though I'll probably have a boost gauge, and an FJO/NTK Wideband if funds allow, maybe an oil pressure gauge on the oil return line, turbo side?

So any other suggestions?

Reverso GP-301

I think it's similiar to, or idential to the pump that STS uses, some correct me if I'm wrong on this.

Also, I don't know if you need it or not but I found the company that STS gets the resistor for the Oil pump form. You can find it at digikey.com.

you need more gauges, Like a wideband and fuel pressure

I'll have a FP gauge on the FPR, I might have left that out of the list.

We have 3 different widebands that I can use for tuning. I'd like to buy an FJO with the NTK sensor, to leave in the car that will come in time.

I checked up on that pump. It uses bronze and a spur gear setup that is apparently better and longer lasting in these applications than the mocal or tilton pumps.

But I always thought the STS pumps werent a very good design and that most were replacing them with the differential style pumps? Ill try to find the link.
Still wondering about that resistor though...

Are you going to have the FP guage under the hood or inside?

Those are nasty rumors started by people who don't have/ don't like STS setups. I have heard of VERY few pumps failing, and know of pumps with 60,000+ miles on them. (mine has 32,000+) I'm still running my original resistor and most all I know are too.

Ok, so what does the purpose of this resistor? Is it a form of dual speed control for the oil return pump? Is it necessary?

It's a 9v resister that runs the pump slower when not boosting. There is a hobbs switch wired in that by-passes the resister as soon as you enter boost for full pump speed.

Mostly, it runs the pump slower and quieter when your not in boost so you don't have to listen to it.

It's not 100% necessary, it will work fine with out it.

Thanks for the info. I figured that was the case. I heard it helped with pump life but that doesnt seem to be an issue given the good quality of mocals/tiltons/reverso pumps

Hey Gash, I see you are going turbo, getting that great driveability back.

So you planning on having it ready by the shootout?

I Guess the secret's out. I'm planning to have it done by the shootout. Most of the exhaust work is done. Most of the parts are in or ordered, except for a few small things.

... and my car was very driveable last year, I drove it everyday.

Did you get that Meth kit installed? I was thinking about using Meth too, haven't decided yet.

Cool, I look forward to seeing it there.

Yeah I know it was driveable, I just meant better street manners. If I would have know you were doing this I just took the LS6 cam out of my car and could have gave you a deal on it.

Haven't even ordered the meth kit yet. Plan to have it on by the shootout though. Going to get the ECS/Alky Control kit.

I've personally seen three dead ones, but they are all from Las Vegas (very hot), none of them made it past 3000 miles.

A resistor is also a horrible way to slow a motor down, just bypass and run on normal speed all the time.

I got my LS6 cam for $100, I thought that was a pretty good deal.
I'm so ready to get back to the track.

So would those reverso pumps be good for Mr. Gash here? considering they are of the same/similar design as STS. Ill try to find that link explaining the different pros/cons of the various pumps out there.

edit: heres the link
http://www.rbracing-rsr.com/oilsystems.htm

its more towards the bottom.
