Default Stock motor mounts flexed too much with turbo torque..fix pics.

Driver's side was moving up 1" at the launch causing some clearance problems. This should fix it.

Yep, those poly mounts work nice, I like mine. One thing extra I did was put six bolts total in them, all with nylock nuts.

I was about to say, they are great until they melt...

I used them when they first came out, actually having to shave a different app one to fit the stock clamshell since they were delaying shipment/release...

I must say I really didn't like how harsh they were either...

I suggest you figure out a heat blanket to protect the mount, otherwise they will melt and ooze out of the clamshell...

Did you have a downpipe near them? Did both sides melt ? Those pics look nasty.

yeah, the DP is close to the drivers side one. The drivers side needs a solid mount. Ive got the pipes coated and wrapped and it still melts everytime I drive it..

And I dont even have a turbo, but one tube on the DS gets close to the mount and if my EGTs get too high it bubbles the coating on the header and melts the mount.

Oh no, this is bad news Jerry.

So, if the poly mounts melt are the stock ones any better for heat resistance?

With alittle homeward bound ingenuity you can do this for free.

$30 less spent, work the same way, and will never break again.

thats what I'm sayin, Ive got them in the Olds and had them Honda and didn't seem to bother me much just make sure to run a poly/rubber tranny mount.
