lsa/icl what are the benifits of going bigger or smaller
im still cam hunting and I was wondering what are the benifits of going with a large (almost stock) intake center line like in the gt2-3 which is 118.5 versus a tighter 114 or even a 112 icl, are the intake center line and the lobe seperation angle always the same if the cam is to be degreed in at 0? or does the lsa have a different effect on power band? Ive read the cam sticky and it doesent talk much about the icl and lsa other than what it is.

Typically... a lower LSA cam will lope a lil more at idle (choppier) and the RPM powerband will be slightly lower than a higher LSA cam. Also with FI, you can lose some boost with a lower LSA cam. You kinda have to work harder to build boost.
On a side note, I'm running a G5X3 on a 112 LSA and see 8 psi with a P1SC on my H/C 346 with a 3.6" pulley. I feel that with a different cam, the same sized pulley will make more boost. Car was originally N/A, thats the reason for the cam. It still makes good power, but I'm contemplating changing it out.
