Default 402 + F1 = Some fun

We got started on the dyno today and we have a little work left to do. Engine is a solid roller 402 with a C5 Corvette F1 kit (8-rib with 4.5" ICs).

After the initial pulls we are at 894lbft at 5300 and 962hp at 6000 where the pull was ended. Both of these numbers were at 13psi.

/Looks at pictures.

So let me get this straight.

That blower is so powerful that you dont even need tubing to connect all the way? You just aim it in the general direction of the intake and BAM! 900HP?

JK, sweet numbers, looks bitchin.

Thats the intake you are looking at lol, oops I see they dont have the tube to the TB on there also. Youre right they must have a well sealed dyno room

An thats also flywheel horsepower but either way thats pretty cool for a 'little' F1

Great numbers, I would love to see more of the pull. Any idea on how close that it to max impeller rpm? My guess is that there is still a touch left in the blower. 100 octane or Sunoco 94?

Think about it Jer..... its someone elses car and wouldnt you be pissed if your new blower was scratched???? In the vette kit the blower sits up top were u can see it......
Plus painters tape doesnt leave a sticky resado like other tape's....

The tape is just to protect the SC's polished finish. When the customer finally opens the box we want it to shine like new!!

F1C, and the photos were taken during setup, so the tube was having a bung added for the IAT, so it was off at the time. I think it was 100 octane, but may have been 116. This setup is going to the place where everyone has a 116 octane pump in their front yard

wow..awsome #'s...so thats 820 or so to the wheels approx...give or take??

how much more work is it to make an F1 fit under the hood of an fbody?? matter of just cutting the radiator support and moving the radiator itself back??

Its not that bad after doing a F1C in a Fbody, you have to do a LOT of little stuff, but once we did LSS1Powers its not "hard" but pretty tedious little stuff. I think after seeing the torque it made, it may be the way to go. Turbo car torque curve without the plumbing headaches

Must have some really strong coils to fire the plugs with the wires hanging down too, LOL.

Excellent power!
