info on whipple?

It has been advertised for a long time, but I am not aware of anyone using it. It is really intended for off-road vehicles. I know my new Sand Sports magazine shows several companies using it on LSX's - www.Mechtech-ms.com and www.redlinepeformanceonline.com. You might have better luck talking with them or checking the off-road vehicle websites for information concerning people's experience with them. The GTO guys are using Whipples using the Australian based Starr Performance kit, but I don't think it is intercooled. Have you thought about just using a KB 2.8 instead? This is for a swapped LSX right? In your 69 or another vehicle?

Starrperformance does a 2.3/3.3 Whipple setup for the GTO.With the 3.3 it won't fit under a stock GTO hood .I have one that I am in the process of adapting to my Tahoe. They use a cogged belt setup, but I have opted to go with a ATI 8 rib pulley setup.

Check out the "Hometown Hot Rodding" on Pg 53 of the March 2007 PHR. There is a 69 in the build process with a 3.3 on a 408. The height looks like it will clear a 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 inch Cowl Hood.
