Default Do I need an aftermarket harmonic balancer?

I am going to be running a Procharger P1SC with a 4.10 pulley on a relatively stock LS1. (headers & exhaust) Shooting for 470 or so rwhp. Should I go with an ATI Super Damper or will the stock unit be fine? I've heard of/seen pictures of the stock unit failing, how common is this?

Depends if you go 6 rib or 8rib. If you go 8rib, for the corvettes its alot more involved, all the accessory pulleys need swapped over to 8rib.

It really all depends if you want to go further in the future with your setup.

For a pretty much bone stock ls1 c5, a p1 will do for a good amount of power. A 6rib will be plenty with this setup.
