Default Pics of OFI Turbo Headers for 98-02 F-Body?

Does any body have any good pictures of the OFI 98-02 F-Body Turbo Headers mounted on an engine that is out side of the car? I have found several pictures but no good pictures of the driverside, especially directly from the side.

I am trying to get an idea of how far down the tubing extends down (along the motor) and how far out the from the block the tubing extends. From some of the pictures I have seen, it appears that they make be a good choice to use on a turbo LS1 for my 69 Camaro. The collectors are high enough and clear the F-Body accessories, but I am trying to determine if the headers will hit the subframe.

Thanks,

Dave

Thanks for the pictures. Do you have any from directly from the side? Or from above on each side? The height looks good on the driverside as it doesn't look like the header goes any lower than the bottom of the cylinder head. Is it pretty much the same on the passengerside?

I know a lot of people are interested in turbo LSX's on www.lateral-g.net and www.pro-touring.com. I am trying to get a good feel if they will work. How much would you sell the y with the wastegate provision and T4 or T6 flange?

Thanks,

Dave

I will assume you are thinking of a first gen f-body because of the lateral-g.net and pro-touring.com reference. If I am correct, I can tell you that this set up will not work. There is not enough more for the turbo to go in between the radiator and the engine. However, those headers with a custom Y pipe may make for a sweet first gen swap. If it will clear the sub/upper control arm. Gives me bad ideas for my 68 LS1 Camaro.

That is what I am thinking about doing. I was mainly interesting in the headers themselves and not the the full y-pipe, but only the merge collector flanged for the turbo. The turbo would most likely be mounted high near the battery box or would be mounted in similar location on the opposite side. The headers should work great if and only if they clear the subframe and upper control arm mount like you suggest. That is why I was interested in more pictures of them.

I realize you are extremely busy, but did you ever manage to get additional pictures of the headers?

Thanks,

Dave

That turbo is a T6 flange s-88. There is no cuttting of the body to make this kit fit. The only thing you have to cut is the hood support to fit the fans in. There like 2- 2" cuts 2" wide.

Hey Joel, I thought there was no cutting involved on this kit? If you could send me a picture of this done, or anyone else for that matter with this kit, so I know what I am looking at getting my self into when I order my kit, that would be great. Thanks in advance.
