Question Turbo(s) or ProCharger???

just wondering what your opinions are i dont like the STS setups cause i dont want 1 exhaust pipe missing. im interested in a single turbo or twins and as far as a supercharger only a ProCharger.

it will be for a 02 SS M6 and im just looking around trying to decide for later on. the car is soon to be cam only but when more money is available will tear down and rebuild. i know what a turbo does compared to a supercharger but is there any +'s over one or the other.

thanks

I really like my tti kit with the 76mm. I had a 350z with a supercharger and i personally hate superchargers cause of the belts slipping but it may be different with ls1 setups. Plus I love the sound of the turbos spooling up.
Both ways you get power and it also depends on where you race. street drag/ no lag with supercharger. highway/ turbos all the way. I am definitely not saying a well designed turbo setup cant be drag strip king at all just that turbos work exceptionally well at higher rpms.

People are running a 2nd tail pipe from the STS wastegate. It has a 2 bolt flange on it just need a muffler shop to fabricate and add a tip. Just a thought if thats the only reason not to get an STS.

Maybe we need a turbo vs. supercharger sticky. It is becoming similar to the what cam threads in the IE section.

Search works, just tried it.

People who have a turbo will say turbo, people who have a procharger will say procharger and the ones that never had either will say whatever they think is cooler

You are more then welcome to ask just about anything FI related but the turbo vs supercharger thing is just gettiing old. I'm going to work on getting a short, somewhat unbiased blower vs turbo sticky going
