Default Which size headers for my combo ?

I appreciate not really FI related. But the guys here make a lot more power, so would be better placed for advice.

I would do stepped 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 if you can. 2" would be tight in the plug area.

Unfortunately, nobody in the UK can bend 1 7/8" tubing....

I want to be racing again early-mid march, so sending mine to the US to have a set duplicated, isnt really feasable, as it will definately take far too long.

Its either stick with my current 1 3/4" which are fine really.

Get a new set of stainless 1 3/4", which is probably pointless

Or the 2" stainless.

Plug access isnt something I considered though.....must check that at present, although I know its pretty easy for me now, but a couple of my leads are fairly close.

They do ? I dont think ive seen any LT headers around 1 5/8" except direct replacement shorty style, for otherwise stock engines ??

The most common is 1 3/4" or 1 7/8" for those making a little more power.

can you shed any light on these cars making decent power on 1 5/8" ?

I've seen some turbo mustangs dip down into the 8's with 1 5/8 headers.

turbo headers are NOT the same as those used for a supercharged, normal style exhaust application.

despite the name, my car is not turbocharged, it is supercharged.

Im in the UK, its a 1980 Ford Granada ( obviously not the same as US car with same name )

382 LS1, Edelbrock 215 heads, 224/230 cam, with a Vortech V7 YSi blower, time in sig etc.

So I'd guess Im making a little power. Maybe 800+rwhp or so ? Dont know for sure.
