Peeps w/ TURBOS & STOCK eninge!
Just wondering what kind of powers you guys are putting down?
Also how long have you been running the setup on the stock engine?
Please list the kit your running and all your mods and your numbers....if you have a dyno graphs that would be awesome if you could post them as well!! If you have any track times please post them as well! Also if you have had any problems with this kit or from the kit please post them as well.
Im trying to do some research on rear mount vs. front mount setup....Yes I did a search and there was no thread with these questions....I think this thread could be VERY benificially to ANYONE looking to do a turbo set up and doesnt want to spend a fortune to have a little fun while being safe!
Any help will be GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks in advance!!

I will try to answer questions in order. Stock engine with "over 500rwhp" for over 2 years. Rear mount= less underhood heat and less plumbing problems. Front mount = better efficiency, more power. As for the last question. Everyone who goes FI spends a fortune, and your engine is never safe. This may sound like a cliche, but it is true nonetheless.

Yeah I understand the pros and cons...I just would like to see peoples different setup and what kind of power they are making and with what mods....
I also would like to see how the stock shortblock holds up with boost...

I get dyno'd on Tuesday next week...hopefully.
I'm running the STS kit with FMIC, should put down between 7-8psi so I'm hoping for 460-475rwhp and maybe 480rwtq. All stock internals except for valve springs (that was a crappy job!). All my shiznit is in my sig...
I've never been to a 1/4mile track but I ran an 8.90 at 83mph on the 1/8th mile NA. I'm hoping to drop that into the 7's with the turbo but I'm probably kidding myself as I have no sticky tires or rear-end or clutch for that matter to support the power I'll be putting down .

As for the air filter , I would move it to the battery or straight to the right fender. It fits nicely there.

Does anybody search any more?
There is a "my stock shortblock lives" thread with hundreds of replies in it. There is also a stock bottem end thread about 7 down from this one

Yes actually I did do a search...show me a thread that shows stock blocks with turbo kits...Im trying to figure out whether the majority of people run a rear mount or front mount and have more success on a stock block with one or the other...
Also what the point of even posting if you have nothing positive to add to the thread...

Thanks Murdock. Sometimes I think the FI section is starting to be like the IE section where guys come in and ask the same questions over and over.
The front mount versus rear mount has also been discused quite a bit already.
Here are a couple other posts with good info in them:
