Exclamation IC pipe w/ no bead will the silicone hose blow off?

Just using this pic as a reference as I borrowed it from another thread.
I've got to make my discharge pipe shorter off my S/C and my question is if I don't have that bead that you see on this pipe and just use my t-bolt clamps (2) will it blow that pipe off? Thanks guys.

If you don't have a way to make, or weld a bead on the pipe. You can use a punch and a block of wood to make a few out ward facing dimples in the pipe (put the punch on the inside of the tube and the tube on the block of wood and strike the punch with the hammer). This dimples will create high presser gripping spots when you tighten the couple down on them with the clamp.

Anything to help retain is better than nothing. You can also help by roughing up the aluminum with some 60-grit sandpaper.

My friend's blew aff everytime we got it above like 5#, and anytime he tried to race it.

Embarrassing...

I have no beads on anything, just use T-bolt clamps and rough up the pipes a little, 20psi and everything is still on there

On high boost applications some attention needs to be paid but if its low boost with good couplers and clamps it will be fine.

Hair spray works great! Just don't put on 5 mintues before you race, you gotta let it dry out for a bit before it will really hold together.

We took a hair spray pipe apart just the other day and even w/ the clamps off it was a bitch to pull apart.
