I was a little worried bout the 408 but it loves boost and I get the nice off boost torque and power only a big cube motor can offer

Bigger is better. I had a T-trim on a 418. It made 12 lbs. and ran great.

As the saying goes.......No Replacement for Displacement. If a 346" runs good a 402 will run better and a 427 will run even better yet! Talking street motors, at some point the big stroke crank will cause some concerns with windage and piston side loading, etc. Larger bores tend to be more in-tolerant of detonation also, but we are talking race cars here!

It all depends what you want in the end.

If you take a look, many of the fastest blower cars are running 346-370 cube motors. KP, PSJ, another local guy i know but you wouldnt... You dont need big cubes with a blower.

True, but it depends, too, with what kind of gas you want to reach a certain power level... But everyhthing else equal, you don't need them like you said.

You bring up something interesting in my head... Any cube can get you the numbers, right?

But not all dynographs would looke the same... I wonder by how much different? If even significant?

Id imagine more torque in the low/mid range, in a drag application you probably dont spend much time if any down there, but if your mostly on the street i guess that could be pretty important huh lol. Seems to come down to what you want to do with it as always.

Let me guess Navy you sprayed the **** out of your forged 347 and now you want bigger cubes to make up for the difference?
