Idea for Vortech S/C oil feed, will it work?
Well, im sitting here sick.... so, I have NOTHING to do but sit and think. The only thing i do not like about the Vortech kit, is you have to tap into the oil pan for the feed to the head unit. I do not like the idea of doing that.
Couldnt you put a small reservoir inside the engine bay and tap into it for a feed and return lines for the oil to the head unit.

I tapped into my oil pan for the return, not the feed. But about your canister idea, it sounds similar to a procharger setup, like a self contained unit of oil, designated just for the supercharger?

I know about the pump, and the main reason for the external reservoir is for cooling. would it not be cooler than the oil that is in the pan?
where can you get a pump to work?

A tank (lower than the blower), a pump, a filter, some fittings and hose. But the Vortech generates heat too, so you'd need a cooler, unless you made the tank pretty big.
That's a bunch of extra stuff, plus wiring, to go wrong. What's the point? If you run an intercooler, most of any extra heat put in by the engine oil is stripped out before the engine sees the air.
