Default how do i plug my IAT sensor into my intake piping?

my car is taking forever, and with school its like it will never be done, well i bought a new steering shaft from flaming river for some more header clearence which dosent fit so im busy trying to girnd them down till the new shaft slides on, then im afraid it might fall off or some **** liek that and ill lose control of the car, but besides for that i need to know how poeple connected there IAT sensor. my car will be tuned for 1 BAR SD for now and i need to connect that little stock senor into the pipe, what the best way to seal it? just drill a hole and shove it in? or thread it? or soemthing like that

you can get a IAT for a 87 GN turbo car and weld on a bung . I have also seen the rubber grommet hold up to over 15#

Drill the hole smaller than you would need to at first and slowly make it bigger until the rubber IAT sensor grommet pops in. When you put the IAT sensor in the grommet you'll be able to tell if it's tight or not

The gn set-up would be ideal, but my rubber grommet lasted at 24 psi, make sure you put some glue or soemthing on the rubber grommet on the connector of the air temp sensor. The sensor itself doesnt seal, and then it pushes the rubber grommet out where the wires enter.

Take the time while you have it apart to weld a bung in and do a threaded
sensor.

not good advice, you need one to properly tune the vehicle.
