Default Victor Jr vs. GMPP

Does the GMPP have any advantages over the Victor Jr? I bought the GMPP but I am thinking about returning it since I can get the Victor Jr already machined for injectors for cheaper Do most people run the Victor jr out of the box or have it ported. I know the the GMPP intake looks like it needs some porting to at least smooth it out.... Thanks for the help

gmpp doesnt have a thick flange like the victor.... i have the gmpp with a 90* elbo and i did no clearancing on the cowl... i think with the victor you have to.

I have the GMPP intake with a precision turbo elbow and my motor is lowered 2" and we still had to notch the hood.....
The GMPP intake was the only one to choose from when i got mine..... victor wasnt out yet....

I have a vic jr on my set up and you do have to line the manifold ports up to the intake ports on the head but it is no big deal.I just looked down in the runners as I was tightening up the bolts to make sure they were lined up.It is just that the bolt holes are larger than the bolts so the manifold can move around a little when you are tightening the manifold down.No biggy.

GMPP has more meat to shape the entry, CSA and runners to what you will specifically need for your next setup. Thats why they used it on the 372ci I posted up.

I got the GMPP, and my buddy got the Victor. We both have the factory SS hoods. On mine it is rubbing a little on the top, but can get away without cutting anything. He needed to cut at his hood to get the Victor to fit.
