Default polished pipe?

I don't know if I should go in the FI or appearance so I will start here.

Who here has polished their own stainless pipe?

what seemed to work the best? I'd like to get a mirror finish, or close to it

Google MetalGloss. I saw those guys polish the bottom of a Coke can to a chrome like finish at the NMRA Final last year. It was a plosih and a sealer. Cost like $15.00 for the both of them. Good stuff. A buddy of mine use's it on his Custom Harley all the time.

I polished my headers with Mother's Billet.

how'd the mothers billet work? take a lot of work?

That Metal Gloss looks like it'll work really quick, but its $15 for the polish and $15 for the sealant

any pictures on what you've done so far? i figured i would have to take a sander or a wire brush to the stainless to get it to shine first

I've used that metal gloss stuff and I didn't think it did anything. Mother's billet worked pretty well. I wetsanded the headers with 2000 grit paper and I'm sure that helped. It took some work but if you want something polished it's going to be work
