Default Totaled out my rig into a huge deer,

My truck that is. Early February just as it started to get
cold and start snowing every other day. The dear did
$3500 in damage to it and I couldn't drive it for about a
month.
SOOOOOoooo...... Take a look at my Twin Turbo
snow/SALT cruzer for the month of Feb.

Mind you the car had only seen rain 5 or 6 times and you could eat
off the bottom because I have issues. It has 31,000mi,
14,000 with the turbos.
Well I power washed it every other day in the sub zero
weather, but the underside is just a mess till warmer
weather hits, so I can jack it up and power wash the
bottom.

On the flip side, I finally had all the parts sitting in my
garage the day before I hit the deer, so I put my new
9" in that weekend and was ready for action.
I hadn't drivin it for a long time and even though the
salt was painful, It was a blast to drive every day to
work. And with the -0 degree intake temps and
the cold road surface I was lighting the tires up on
the top of third at 80 to 100 mph at 3/4 throttle.
I know it was 3/4 because my gauges weren't
even saving data because they only save over 3/4 throttle.

I hate dear, I hate salt, I love my TTSS

Props to all the daily driver FI heads.

Mines back in the garage till spring.

Well thats impressive that you took the ss through the winter. Shows the car can handle anything. On another note, did you do anything to ensure you did take in any water? No problems in the wet snow? Car looks sweet! What TT set up BTW?

I think the New jersey turnpike just started using some new stuff instead of salt. its designed to be less corrosive. Any other states doing this?

They started using some kind of liquid ice melt here recently, doesnt appear to be as nasty as the road salt they used to use in Chicago.

My car is 9 years old and has 30K on it, it was driven for a month in the snow in Chicago when it was new and even though I clean the underside of the car everytime I go to the track and its spotless underneath there is still salt that oozes out of seams and a lot of surface rust in those seams starting and the car hasnt been driven in the rain for 7 years

Probably be better off driving it in the rain a lot to rinse that salt out, man I hate that stuff
