Default Superman09's Twin Turbo Build Thread Part 2

Well time for part 2. Car is pretty much done. As is sits now, only the y pipe needs to be completed. It is nearly done, just ran out of bends so i had to order some more, should be here Mon. I changed my PCV set up and it is ran like i had it set up in the MSPaint pic in last thread with a catch can. Few facts... getting too much oil, its being pushed threw and is messy, lol. Idle vacuum of 24", can hear turbo noise at 800 rpm and she gets going at 1000 pretty good. Have to track down fan issue, for some reason they wont turn on, but when we grounded it's relay they turned on so its something stupid like a ground off or something.

Some questions...
-Too much oil, where do i start? Have access to nitrous jets, do i place one in the feed line right out of the oil block spout or up near first turbo (set up runs to drivers side turbo and crosses over to pass side). Where do i put it and what should i drill it out to?

-Is 24" of vacuum good at idle? Seems like a lot but then again its twins on stock cam, low idle of 500 rpms.

So here are some new pics of the PCV, progress of Y pipe, etc.

A New Video at bottom! Still open DPs, can hear turbos start at about 800 rpms and can really hear them at 1000. Didnt go over 1000 rpms, but you can hear them. Also see the vacuum, Fuel pressure of over 60 at idle, and my tranny cool as a cucumber.

Well its hard since its all mostly way back under the cowl. However...

One line runs from back port in Drivers Side Valvecover over into 1 part of the tee. A line from the back port of pass side VC goes to another part of the tee, a line from the last part of the tee runs to the catch can. I capped off the front pass side VC port, TB, and Intake. Have breathers on Catch Can and oil fill.

For the oil into the turbos? Just get a normal -3 fitting by thread... cut the angled part off the fitting... and put your nitrous jet in there for a restricter. The nitrous jet makes the angled part you cut off...

Thred the thread part ofthe fitting into turbo feed and drop your jet in and screw your line in.

You just can use different size jets... dont have to dril out anything

But i will have to do a lil searchin on what jet to use...

it may be a pain in the ***... but put a T into the turbo... then your an fitting cut to take a nitrous jet... then screw your oil line on.... off the T run a oil pressure gauge.

Restrict it down till the turbo only gets 40psi to it. You should only have to T off one turbo because you probably will use the same jet in both sides... once you get it to where the turbo is getting 40psi... take out the T and your good.

I can't find what people are using so i figured i would tell ya how to figure it out. lol

Why dont you get a Function7 oil feed flange with a built in regulator? Pretty nice piece for about $18.00.

Well as stated above, i have access to nitrous jets. At this point in my build, as most of you are aware, these $50 projects are really pissing me off so i dont want to have to spend $50 on restrictors (2 turbos) when i can use nitrous jets that are laying around. However those do look nice. I think im going to try to lower my scavenge pump more so it doesnt have to suck as hard, and fiddle with a nitrous jet in the feed line. See how this goes.

haha, yours is broken... no deal! Thanks for all the positive compliments!
I called up Rich at W2W today who will be tuning the car. I was planning on running my computer down to him with a spec sheet for him to give me a quick rich tune so i can drive down on the bigger injectors, but he said i'd probably be just as safe keeping stock injectors in and stock tune and just babying it since its 95% highway driving and i dont have any other motor mods. He said he'll just throw my injectors in on the dyno and we'll be good. He said he is open next week!

Get that damn thing tuned and to the track. Enough of this bench racing. Can't wait to see what it will do. At least you're near a great tuner. IMO beg, borrow, steal a trailer. There's no reason to take any chance on hurting it. Good luck.

David
