Default Eboost2 Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok I had someone else install my eboost2 and set it up.

I have my car limited to 5600rpm to get use to the car but the car makes boost well before that.

1st gear it will make 2-4lbs of boost

2nd 5-8lbs

3rd all the way to 15lbs

4th all the way to 15lbs.

Any reason why its not making boost at the lower gears?

Ran at the track and highest mph I could get was 103 in the 1/4 my car is a built motor with a T76 with 15lbs of boost and it should be in low 11s high 10s

Ideas???????

Does it really pick up when you get to 3rd and 4th? Or is it just not going anywhere?

Have any data logs of boost, a/f, IAT's etc?

IAT's under boost middle to low 80 (meth)

A/F under boost 10:1 a little on the rich side

Seems to be dumping boost in 1st and 2nd. Dont know if its even something with the eboost2.

I have some codes I will get pulled tommrow and start tracking them down tommrow.

rear mount? manual trans?

i dont think reading the instructions and learning how to use the eboost 2 will be avoidable so i reccomend going ahead and and doing that.

could be hooked up wrong, or set up specifically to do what it is doing, or it could be unrelated and a result of the turbo set up.

is it set up to switch automatically?
what is the wastegate spring?

yeah, OFI kit!

i believe it may be feature in the eboost. Im not 100% familiar with it but it may be a boost limiter set vs. gear. TCS if you will

he would have to have switches all around his shifter if he is doing automatic external switching of one kind or another

it could also be on timed switching internally, have to just scroll through the controller to find out.

I have some other issues I need worked out. (NEw ECM) then I will see what else is the deal. Only leak that I have that I can tell is on the down pipe but that should not be a cause of the issue.

Nope, leaks on the downpipe would only help you 103 in the 1/4 eh? Wanna race a big fat turd of a Dodge for slips Timmy?

Seriously though, you don't have nearly as much load on the motor in 1st and 2nd, and shifting that early might not be allowing enough time for the boost to rise. You'll first have to verify you're opening the gate at all, because it in all likelihood may not be related to the eBoost at all. I'd check the tune as well, because your timing curve says a lot about how things will look/run, especially down low.

Hey InsaneGTO, please don't get upset, I'm trying to help.... you should think about taking that thing to get it tuned by a pro. I've seen your posts here and on the HPT forum and you may want to either back up and do a lot of catch-up reading or go the route I just mentioned. I just don't want to see that engine get hurt and you not be able to really enjoy the potential of your setup.

FWIW if you stuck a PCM limiter at 5600 you may want to reconsider. I set mine over 7500. It is a fuel-cutting limiter, not spark, afterall, and you don't really want to cut fuel at peak boost.

Yeah I have a exp hptuner guy going to do it now. I should have it tuned this weekend and see what the heck is wrong with everything. I guess I should know there is going to be bugs when you do a swap like I did.

If we can get these issues done this weekend I am swapping to a Built TH400

Good, that will give you a good base tune to go off of; it's a lot to take in all at once. G'luck.

So did you ever get it figured out? What was the problem(s)??? Bad PCM? Bad initial tune? Eboost broke/set-up wrong?
