Your 422 should not present any special difficulty for supercharging. I'm running an F1C Procharger on my 427 (4.125 bore x 4 stroke) and with LS7 heads, the combo makes 773 RWHP at only 8 pounds of boost.

It's no big deal, as long as the stroker engine is setup for boost (low compression)
I'm just putting the finishing touches on a 2004 SSR with a 408 stroker and a procharger. I would be happy to answer any questions for you.

i would not put bigger than a 4'' stroke on a lsx based blown car.... unless you bore is larger than or = to your 4.125 stroke....

a bigger stroke makes alot more bottom end which makes it hard as hell for a blown car to hook at the track or street.... if i were to do it again i'd settle for a ls2 motor with the l92 heads and intake and call it a day..

Hi Mohamed. The link allows you to upgrade to an F1A head unit, plus our front mount intercooler kit.

I disagree. First, people are hooking 7 second cars on drag radials, so if you can't hook a 10 second car on some it ain't the engines fault.

Second, no blown motor (unless it just sucks) is gonna hook on an unprepped street. Once you get around 450+ RWHP, traction is controlled by your right foot.

wow... i realize it can be done.... i didnt say it was impossible.... i said it was harder.... a car with alot more torque is going to be harder (not impossible to hook) than a car that has less.....

and people are going 215+mph on 10.5 tires...

Link to said car(s)? The fastest true DRAG RADIAL (Mickey Thompson 315/60-15) car that I know of is David Wolfe's Fox-body Mustang that went 7.408 @ 197.62. I've never seen a faster MPH on a true DOT RADIAL.

Oh yeah, I know Tim. I thought that's who you were referring to, but wanted to make sure.

In many, if not most or all suspension setups it takes a hit to the chassis to hook. In some ways its harder to hook a low powered car if the suspension isn't set up for that. With that said it often takes traction to create traction if that makes any sense at all. To apply the tires we need some initial hook via the tire compound and temperature to make the suspension work for us. If you were to dump the clutch off the two step on jack stands you wouldn't get the same reaction from the suspension as you will when the tire can create some work.

Regardless its amazing that people are able to consistently balance engine power to available traction to run as hard as they do on radials and small tires today.

now you have, morgan arden went 7.49@201mph on 10.5 ET streets at the snowbird nationals, then crashed.
