Default O.F.I Turbo kit pics installed

Just thought I would share with you guys a build that we are doing here at Ohio forced inductions for a customer. The car was dropped of on the Jan 21st. The car is a 2000 Trans Am with some really nice ccw rims on it. The customer is getting the 98-02 stainless steel turbo kit with the T-76gts. The kit is also going to be air to water. Some of the other upgrades are going to be....

UMI torque arm
UMI subframes connectors
UMI LCA
Moser 9" with a trutrac and 3.50gears (from Driveline solutions..Thanks)
OFI fuel system
60lb Injectors
3" steel Driveshaft (from driveline solutions)
Comp cam
Speed Inc 370 iron short block
Guages
Rossler stage 3 trans
EBC

Here are some pics of the setup pretty much done besides the pvc setup. Its just wasent installed on the car when the pics were taken. The car was at the dyno this week and made 650rwhp easy with 10 lbs of boost and 12 deg of timing at 4500 rpm. We had to cut it short b/c we were blowing right threw the torque convertor. Have to upgrade more and back to the dyno on friday.

After the install of the kit we also did not have any exhaust leaks. No warped flanges or v-bands. The kit went on and started right up sounding terrific. Also make sure you look at the welds. I have been getting blasted lately on the welding b/c they dont look perfect. I think these welds look really good. There is also no crysteling inside the pipes. I did however have that on 2 GTO kits, but that is all taken care of. Let me know what you all think. Im here to listen to what you have to say.

Thanks joel

Kit looks awesome. Only thing I don't like is the lower coolant hose touching the header.

Ground clearance is awesome, his car is lowered as well right?

Are you guys having any troubles burning up plug wires????? Its looks pretty close above in the pic. That was just a big downside on a couple of older kits.

nope...no proplem with burning wires. they do look really close in the pics though. The radiator hose isnt touching the header. It s just really close that is why I wraped it just to be safe. The hose is stainless pipe also.

Looking (and performing) good as always Joel. Keep up the good work. I hope to have the car back to ya for a new setup in the next few months.

Man that kit looks AWESOME. I only have 2K miles on my built setup but I'm already daydreaming about the next one If it were mine I'd wrap it up all the way from the manifolds to the turbo and all of the downpipe too.

Id also coat everything along with wrapping. Id be very concerened with the plug wires. Youll have to watch those closely. I have to double shield mine (plug wire boots and then heat reflective tubing over that) to keep from burning them.

It looks good.

Nice car too. What color neons? Bout time somone has ***** to go against the grain. I had purple

is all that listed provided by you? looking at the, what i think is the overfill tank next to the fuse box. If so what is the cost of that alone, and what is the capacity?

and what is that fuel cell used for where the battery used to go?

That is the expansion tank that you see there. I will get a price for you on the tank alone. Yes...All these parts come with the kit except the wrap and the ignition and fuel stuff.

That is the chiller tank for the air to water setup.

Tim...maybe I worded that the wrong way. I said that the issues that you had with welding that all you pointed out to me were taken care of. I didnt say that your stuff was taken care of. Sorry if I worded it the wrong way.

I also offered to fix your stuff, but never heard back from you. If you have a question email me or call the shop. Please leave Gotv8's thread clean so he can enjoy his thread.

Thanks Joel

kit looks great! I would wrap those plugs on my car though, just for safe keeping. Is that the stock radiator?

Joel, are you thinking of designing a radiator shroud at all to clean that up a bit? Would be sweet!

insanegto: stick to pm's will ya...
