Default putting a turbo sytem together need help!

im putting together a turbo system fo my 2000 trans am and i need some help finding the parts and how u guys have done it. im running a garret t4 turbo. i need an intercooler and i need one that actually fits and i dont have to cut huge holes in stuff and where to get it. i need to know where to get an oil pump cause it remote mount, a sandwich plate or something like it for the oil pan and what fuel pump and injectors i should get and oil lines. i also need to know where to get this stuff and if u guys have anything for sale. its a stock motor so i plan on using a dual stage controller and switching between 400 and 500 rwhp. all help would be great

you can do a FMIC from ebay. You can get a scavenge pump from any of the big speedshops. I actually happen to have a scavenge pump, wasegate, and some random turbo stuff im trying to sell if youre interested.

FWIW, you can go to "FOR SALE" section and do a search for the rest of the components that you'll need.

Spend a few hours with the search, and you'll see what others are doing.

If you are only trying to make 500 rwhp.....go n/a with juice! It will be a lighter car with way less problems....

not true at all dont do that, I am just finishing up my rear mount set up, no problems so far runs great.
-Get the mocal pump for the scavenge return oil system.
-intank walbro fuel pump
-42lb injectors
-obx fmic (you will either have to remove your bumper support or cut it for sure)
-fuel pressure gauge
-boost gauge
-many little things such as lines, hoses, fittings and such.
just take your time and do one thing at a time. any questions feel free to pm me and ask.

check into enginegear's pumps instead of mocal. After testing around, the tilton/mocals seem to have a diaphram problem. The enginegear models are stainless shafts, brass bodies, and bronze gear designs. Theyll last.

the guys at TRT really are a great resource. you can get everything you asked for from them at a very reasonable price. i woudl also suggest napa auto parts and summitracing.com for the odds and ends stuff (which you will need)

I have to agree, something was wrong if there wasnt any difference with a 125 shot.

you must be nuts or the thing wasn't working. I have been in a car that was spraying 125 shot.. and yeh, lets say she got up and went.

but yeh a turbo is nuts. full boost hits and your pushed into the seat. it starts up gradually then bam! in seat... lol

if you've got an ACE hardware nearby then use them for all your fittings. Dont bother with summit and forget homedepot/lowes (their selection sucks). Most of the pumps have 3/8" NPT male or female. Male on the enginegear/reverso pumps.

Ill see if I can find the silicone dealer that i usually use. They sell elbows (for connecting to TB) at great price and most couplers are less than $5 with clamps. Also consider building a homedepot catch can if your tryin to keep things budget. Search will do wonders
