Default Vortech SC for LT1

I was looking at the vortech superchargers w/ aftercooler for LT1s. I believe it is an a-w ic. The piping is made of steel and aluminum. Any thoughts, opinions or experience with these systems?

You are right - it is A2W. There are people on here that have had good luck with it, I believe getting into the 10's and into the 600+rwhp area.

You are not locked into an A2W with a Vortech - I did a custom A2A and it came out well.

I had a Vortech T-trim kit with the Vortech aftercooler. With the 6.66/2.75 pulley combo, I made 13 psi on a 383 and ran 10.40 at 133 at full weight.

Many people are down on that intercooler, but I eventually made almost 700 rwhp through and auto/loose converter with the Vortech aftercooler and a turbo.

Mike-so, you kept the Vortech aftercooler, but ditched the SC'er for a turbo?

Som-didn't have a choice, the ls1 got stolen.

For a little while. I later had a custom Bell water/air made and replaced the Vortech unit.
