Default A2A with 4" Inlets

Has anyone seen an FMIC with 4" inlet and 4.5" or larger outlet?

Yes. Of course you would need a 4.5+" core. I could have gone with 4" inlet/outlet on mine (4.5" core) but chose to stick with 3".

ProCharger offers an A/A that measures 27 x 12 x 6 and has 4" inlet/outlet ends. It is a monster.

It would actually be more benificial to have the inlet larger, The air comeing out of the turbo is at its hotest. Therefore occupies a larger area. Once it comes out of the intercooler it is denser and has just passed the largest restriction in the intake tract...

Just my opinion, Either they should be the same size or the most benifit woul be at the inlet.

its just that i have a 3" outlet from the turbo, and a 4" inlet from the throttle body. matching the pipes it wil have less restrictions, and look better.

Has anyone done any actual testing on the cores they are using, for pressure loss across the core ?
