Default A.I.R. pump as a power adder?

Has anyone actually tried this. Just something I thought of quite a while ago, but had my doubts as to the effectiveness. The hose running to the lid is the intake hose to the pump. Pump activates and draws air from lid normally and sends it into exhaust. What would happen if you used this pump and drew outside air in and sent it into the air intake lid via a manual switch. Of course you would eliminate the actual properly funtioning A.I.R. system. Would this send enough air into the intake (MAF would read it and add fuel accordingly) to make any difference? What do you guys think?

no.
1) there is not enough volume.
2) all the air would just "leak" out of the filter.

it would however give you a crappy idle.
