Default Compressor A/R

So if Turbine A/R contributes to Spool rate,What exactly does compressor A/R control?

Compressor A/R controls compressor outlet velocity and map movement. You can shift the map a little with different covers.

So holding the compressor wheel size constant, a larger size compressor A/R shifts the map left or right?

To the right, but could have adverse effects on surge limits and compressor wheel stagnation under higher pressure ratios.
