bad bypass valve

Default bad bypass valve

when i hook up a vacuum gauge, and applly vacuum to my bypass valve it dosent open, is it suposed to? by the way it is a vortech bosh style

it should stay open under vacuum...are you sure you are applying vacuum and not boost?
while @ idle, the valve should be open...just remove the vacuum line and see if it closes...if it is open @ vacuum, that is ...

Default bypass valve

what i did is i removed bosh bypass valve from the car and aplied vacuum with a vacuum pump and it dont open do i need a new one?
