Default Do i need to worry about MAP sensor?

Ok hers the deal. Sent my intake out to Stryker last season to get painted with true fire. The clip that holds the MAP sensor down got broken off. I ran the car all last season and multiple track days in stock trim and it was all fine. However now with boost i am a bit worried since there is no securing clip. Think it will be fine just plugged in there or should i definitely seak action to secure it/replace the intake? Thanks!

My intake has had a broken MAP clip forever, I just used a few wire ties to hold the MAP in. Even though I dont use the stock sensor anymore its still stuck in there and has held 20psi. I wouldnt just leave it.

yea yea... This FI is some tough stuff man, haha. My turbo is shipping back to me today from being rebuilt. I'll work my hands behind the intake tonight to try and secure it a bit. Thanks!

Tap the old MAP hole with a 1/4" pipe thread.Screw in a barb fitting and run a 1/4" hose to the MAP sensor.Thats a permanent fix and we do it all the time on FAST intakes.

All you do if you use the tap and barb setup is run a little short vacum hose from the barb that is now on the intake to the vacum nipple on the bottom of the map sensor. You will take the rubber grommet off of the bottom of the sensor first and the attatch the vacumm hose.
