Default Few 1/8 mile passes today with the F1A

Little warm out, 87+ degrees, but decided to go make a few passes and try out the F1A with the new cam. I am running a 7.25/4.25 pulley and I'm seeing around 15psi @ 7000rpm. Little lower then I expected but it was pretty hot and the track is 1200' above sea level.

I'm very pleased with how the car ran, almost put the car into the wall on one pass, just would cut the tires loose about 100' out - did it twice. It never really dead hooked but last pass was a 1.28 60 foot and ran a 5.86 @ 117.5. This track is very stingy on mph, doesnt sound that great until you figure it was 85 degrees out, DA was 29-3300' and with an A2A IC the car really drops off when its hot. So I am VERY happy with how its running right now, if I could get to 60 degree 500' or less track I would bet money it will run an 8 something the way it sits. I am barely even turning this F1A (10K under max impeller), had to put the 2 step to 3000rpm just to see 2psi but it hits pretty hard after 4500 rpm.

Vid of all 6 passes, all 6 were made within 1.5 hours. Had to throw a burnout in there, you can definately hear the blower now

That is impressive! That F1A blower sounds cool, no stealth there at all. Bob

I switched it around this time last year, I never cared for the T/A wing. Plus the formula hatch is 15lbs lighter.

Still run a 3" Y-pipe into the 4" splitflow turned down before the axle. Thats why the blower seems so loud, with open headers you wouldnt hear it as mich.

I took the pass seat out so it was 3380 or so. I'm going to take a little break and lighten the car up a little, AJE moly k-member, manual rack and make a lighter intercooler mount - should be able to get another 50lbs off the front.
