Ok got my twin disc need rear end advice
I am trying to build this car with big power pontential but realistically will be running around likely 500 to 600 rwhp on daily basis.
I know I can do it at low boost with big motor like 427 or 408 or a bit higher boost on 370. But trying to pick a very high hp rear end.
Candidates are the moser 9 inch ford. With true track not locker or spool. I street drive this car 99% and its going to see track once to hopefully get kicked off so dont think want locker or spool.
What is max a true track 9 inch can take for hp .What have your guys run thru it?
12 bolt strange is another candidate but think eaton is really wimpy at high hp. Again no spool I dont think they are streetable.
dana 60. again something about true trac not being good something about hd posi or something being ok. spool likely great but dont want it.
Anyway if I don't hit the track with much more than 500 to 600 rwhp I should be ok with the above rear ends maybe on some borrowed et streets?
And for around town highway fun with past 600 rwhp the rear end mabye would not get hurt that easily if just spinning up the nittos??
I have looked at the boosted list some to see what guys are running but this dont really tell me if they have to keep fixing their rear ends.

If you had a six speed with 600 rwhp, a spool is what I'd go with even though you don't want to have to go with one. If you have an automatic, I'd say a Moser 9 inch with the Truetrac would get you by. Bob
